1. No purchase necessary. Enter on www.baltimoresun.com. Complete and submit the online entry form. Subsequent entries from the same computer will be rejected. Subsequent entries from the same email address will be rejected. If any dispute arises concerning the identity of an entrant, the owner of the email account from which the entry was sent shall be deemed the entrant.

2. Contest open to Maryland residents 21 years or older and void where prohibited by law.

3. Only one entry per person and per computer. Only one entry per household. Winner is solely responsible for all taxes, fees and expenses associated with this contest and redemption of prize. No other prize elements except for those described in the rules will be covered.

4. Employees and immediate family members of The Baltimore Sun Company, the Tribune Company and their affiliates are not eligible to enter. “Immediate family” includes only spouses, parents and children.

5. The contest will begin on Monday, July 7, 2008 and end on Thursday, July 31, 2008 at noon. Two winners will be chosen by random drawing to win, and notified by phone or email on or about Thursday, July 31, 2008. If the Baltimore Sun representative is unable to speak directly to a winner by 5pm one business day following the day contact is first attempted, the winner will be disqualified and forfeit all rights to the prize, and an alternate winner will be chosen by random drawing. Each prize includes a VISA gift card in the amount of $1,750 that can be used to purchase gas at all service stations that accept VISA gift cards. (Amount estimated as one fill-up per week of a 16-gallon gasoline tank at $4.20/gallon for 26 weeks.) All other expenses not included. Winners are solely responsible for all taxes.

6. By entering this contest, winner hereby grants The Baltimore Sun Company and its agents permission, without further compensation, to use winner's name, likeness, photographs, film, voice recordings and image for promotional purposes if and to the extent allowed by law. By entering, entrants and winners agree to release the content entities from any and all claims, liability, damages, losses or injuries of any kind arising out of their acceptance or possession and or use or misuse of the prizes or their participation in the contest.

7. Winner agrees to all rules by entering this contest. Prizes are non-transferable and no prize substitution will be made. Contest sponsor reserves the right to award an alternate prize of equal or greater value. The winner will be selected randomly from among all valid entries received. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received. The Baltimore Sun reserves the right to modify the official rules of this sweepstakes or cancel the contest at any time.

9. The Baltimore Sun is not responsible for entries that are lost, misdirected or mutilated. Entries are void if incomplete, not legible or if they contain errors. If for any reason, the online entry is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention fraud, technical failures, other causes beyond the control of The Baltimore Sun which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the contest. The Baltimore Sun reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest. No responsibility is assumed for: any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure; theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries; any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or links, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software; failure of any email or electronic entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials from this contest. All submissions become the property of the sponsor. In case of a dispute over a winner’s identity, prize will be awarded to owner of email account used to enter. 10. Winner may be required to pick up prize at the offices of baltimoresun.com, 2 Hamill Road, Suite 200, Baltimore, MD 21210 between the hours of 10am and 4 pm, Monday-Friday. If unable to do so, alternate arrangements may be made in some instances depending on event date, prize size and value. The Baltimore Sun reserves the right to change these official rules at any time.

11. By entering, each entrant agrees that if selected as the winner, he/she may be required to sign a release and waiver of liability. The prize may be forfeited and awarded to another entrant if the winner does not execute the prepared form of release and waiver within the stated timeframe of the sweepstakes, or if the selected winner is not eligible in accordance with these rules.
