EDITOR'S PICK

Amanda:

Next week, I'm headed for surgery that's going to have me laid up for a few days, so I need to pack as many outings into this weekend as I can. Thursday, I'll get one last mega workout in before being confined to a foot bootie for the duration of the winter.

Friday, I'll make a road trip to D.C. to see a couple friends, grab dinner and drinks somewhere trendy and gossip about love affairs that blossomed over winter break.

Saturday, I would like to take an invigorating hike, as I'm fresh off the plane from my beloved Rockies and am already missing mountain air and snow-covered trails. I also have an Atomic Books gift card that I can't believe I haven't spent, yet. I have my eyes on a limited edition Frank Kozik piece that I better grab before it's too late. I also need to familiarize a special kid with urban art vinyls, so a few mini-figures are on the shopping list to get his collection started.

Saturday night, I need to get sushi and go to a movie while I still can. I'd like to see "The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus" because I'm a big Terry Gilliam fan (when he's on). I also wouldn't pass up "Youth in Revolt" it looks like a happy diversion. For sushi, I'm thinking Joss or Geisha on Charles Street.

Sunday, is all about chili, baked goodies and The Ravens. I love when our team is the underdog. It makes them hungry and that's a good thing. My money is on Joe Flacco pleasantly surprising everyone.

Rebecca:

Saturday, I hope to do some shopping for me, me, me ... I need a little me time after all this holiday giving. I'll probably head to Towson Town Center. I've got a couple H&M gift cards burnin' a hole in my pocket. I'd also like to make stops at Express and The Limited.

Saturday night, I plan to stay out of the cold. I'm thinkin' dinner and a movie at home. Pizza John's pepperoni pizza should hit the spot, and maybe I'll finally get around to watching "(500) Days of Summer."

Sunday, I'd like to check out the Poe exhibit at the BMA. If you want to check it out too, you better hurry. "Edgar Allan Poe: A Baltimore Icon" closes Jan. 17.
