JHU student kills man with sword

After hearing noises coming from a garage behind his house early Tuesday, a 20-year-old Hopkins undergraduate student grabbed his samurai sword and went to investigate. When a man inside the garage lunged at him, police say, he struck the intruder with the sword, killing him. "He was backed up against a corner and either out of fear or out of panic, he just struck the sword with force," a city police spokesman said. "It was probably with fear for his life."
