Dr. Ohnmacht received his medical degree from the University of Texas Houston Medical School. He completed a residency in general surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center and a residency in cardiothoracic surgery at the Mayo Clinic, with additional training focusing on off-pump coronary bypass and minimally invasive cardiothoracic techniques at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Dr. Ohnmacht is board certified and is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Chest Physicians.
