Dr. York received his MD degree from Georgetown University and Orthopaedic Specialty Training from University of Maryland School of Medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and has subspecialty board certification in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. The Joint Replacement Center at Baltimore Washington Medical Center is part of the Advanced Orthopedics program, providing comprehensive, team-focused care to patients before, during and long after joint replacement surgery. The center's surgeons routinely replace 500 hip and knee joints a year. In addition to skilled orthopedic surgeons, the center's care team includes physical therapists, social workers, case managers and a dedicated nurse practitioner who works closely with patients prior to and following surgery.
